These terms cover your use of the website at opentag.build. The OpenTag software is licensed separately, under Apache 2.0 — these terms do not restrict what that licence grants you.

1. What this site is

An informational website about an open-source project. There are no accounts, no payments, no subscriptions and no hosted service sold or operated here. Nothing on this site is an offer to provide a service, and describing what OpenTag does is not a commitment to run it for you — you run it yourself, on your own machine.

2. Acceptable use

Read it, link to it, quote it, show it to colleagues. Please do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site or the infrastructure behind it, and do not automate requests at a volume that degrades it for other people. Ordinary crawling is fine; our robots.txt says so explicitly, including for AI crawlers.

3. Intellectual property

The text, layout and images of this site are © 2026 Unispark, except where noted. The OpenTag source code is Apache 2.0 and carries its own notices.

Third-party names and marks belong to their owners. Lark is a trademark of ByteDance. Slack is a trademark of Slack Technologies. Claude Tag is a product of Anthropic. OpenTag is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, and references to them are for identification and comparison only.

4. Links to other sites

This site links out — mostly to GitHub. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content or their terms.

5. No warranty

This website is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise it is error-free, current, or uninterrupted.

The software's warranty position is set by Apache 2.0, sections 7 and 8, not by this page.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unispark will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — this website. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only so far as the law permits.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This clause concerns the website; it does not alter the terms of the Apache 2.0 licence covering the software.
